He worked on the Inus plantation and then set up in business as a general trader but lost his store during the war. Afterwards he set up in Chinatown, Buka Passage with a branch store at Kieta. He also had a plantation and two small vessels, Anna and Chebu trading around Bougainville and the neighbouring islands.... (as per article in Pacific Islands Monthly).
